| “A road run specifically for commercial vehicles manufactured prior to 1979. We will be leaving from Gawler on Saturday morning and travel via an interesting and scenic route to Hahndorf where we will overnight, returning via a different but equally interesting route to Tanunda on Sunday. There will be displays open to the public at Lobethal Oval on Saturday and Birdwood National Motor Museum on Sunday .Total distance travelled will be approx 180 km. There are very few truck tours organised in Aust. so this is your big chance to bring that old girl out and run over some of the roads of yesterday, remember when it used to take 4 hrs just to get through the Hills, these are some of the roads we will be using. The event is being conducted by the Historic Commercial Vehicle Club of Aust. – South Aust. Branch. If coming from the south drive into Gawler and just over the bridge turn left at the lights and follow the signs.
From the north take the road opposite the caravan park and follow the signs.
